Lemon, white flowers, hint of kiwi, saline, jasmine. On palate, pure Burgundy diamonds; pretty, with slight pineapple, chalky minerality and a clean, flowery + lemon/lime finish. 100% Aligoté, the "other" white grape from Burgundy. It naturally has high acidity, so warmer temperatures tend to be its friend. More recently the varietal is having a come-back with more wine geeks interested in seeing what it can do. The grape itself has a long history, first recorded in Burgundy in the late 18th century. Jean-Philippe's Aligote is notably zippy and energetic.
