Próspero Tequila is the brand pop star Rita Ora co-founded with spirits firm Conecuh Brands around master distiller Stella Anguiano, one of the few women to hold that title in tequila, with roughly thirty years of distilling in Jalisco. It is made at the Don Roberto distillery, NOM 1437, in the Tequila valley lowlands, from 100% blue Weber agave sourced from both the highlands and the valley. The reposado is the rested expression: double distilled, cut by Anguiano, then matured in oak long enough to take on light color and barrel softness before bottling at 40% ABV (80 proof). The brand does not publish the exact rest time or cask type beyond the reposado designation, which under Mexican regulation means at least two months in oak, and the retailer notes describe it as showing oak development from the rested maturation. Every bottle is hand-filled into a hexagonal, hand-blown glass bottle with a label designed by Anguiano. It sits between the peppery blanco and the sipping añejo, the versatile pick for a spirit-forward margarita or neat with lime.
