Japanese Metal Tea Caddy Wrapped in Red Washi Paper with Ume Plum Blossom
In Japan, the plum tree blossoms in the depths of winter, often before the snow has completely melted, making it one of the first signs that spring is on its way. Here, its large flowers are rendered as a minimalist white design against a vivid red background. The motif is printed on traditional washi paper, giving the metal caddy a soft, lightly textured finish. Inside, a clear plastic inner lid helps protect up to 200 g of loose tea from the air, while the outer metal lid completes the caddy.
